Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib was arrested Sunday, June 29, for public intoxication after a disturbance at a night club in Dallas. Talib was allegedly throwing bottles and causing a disturbance. Dallas police say Talib was a danger to himself and others.

"The Patriots have their way of reporting stuff, but I haven't had a hip problem since Tampa," Talib said. "The injury I had was actually a quad injury. It was reported as a hip injury, but that's how they do things.

Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib's six-year, $57 million deal could end up being a one-year, $12 million commitment. Only $11.5 million is truly guaranteed, and he'll receive that in 2014. The rest of the guaranteed money includes base salaries of $5.5 million and $8.5 million in 2015-16 that are guaranteed for injury only until the first day of the respective league years. Barring a career-ending injury, they could cut him next year and eat a $4 million salary cap hit.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib (hip) said he didn't suffer from a hip injury at all last season, despite what the New England Patriots reported. "That was in Tampa, that was the right side. I haven't had a hip problem since Tampa. The Patriots have their way of reporting stuff, but I haven't had a hip problem since Tampa. The injury I had was actually a quad injury, it was reported as a hip injury, but that's how they do things," Talib said.

According to a league source, early indications are that the market will be more robust for Talib in 2014 than a year ago. "Well, we want to retain all the good players we can retain," owner Robert Kraft said in a radio interview during the Super Bowl week. "It's not like we have unlimited funding so...he wasn't on the field a lot of the time he's been with us. It's a balance of us balancing all that out and what he is worth. I think he's happy here and would like to be here and we're happy with him and we'd like to have him here and now it's just about doing business."

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon will likely face off against New England Patriots CB Aqib Talib in Week 14, and Gordon vows to make plays against the star cornerback. Gordon owns the highest yards per game average this year at 124.9. Talib hasn't allowed more than 121 yards all year to receivers he's covered. "I'm pretty sure he'll make some plays, but I'm definitely going to make more plays," said Gordon.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon's matchup is tough, but he's too much of a talent to consider benching him, especially with playoff matchups on the line. Gordon needs to be in all lineups.

New England Patriots TE Michael Hoomanawanui (knee) and OT Marcus Cannon (ankle) have been ruled out for Week 13. LB Chris White (back), CB Kyle Arrington (groin), CB Marquice Cole (shin), CB Alfonzo Dennard (knee), CB Aqib Talib (hip) and SS Steve Gregory (finger) are listed as questionable. WR Matt Slater (wrist) and LB Brandon Spikes (knee) are listed as probable. Hoomanawanui and Cannon did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 29. Slater and Spikes fully participated in practice while the other players were limited during practice.
