Wed, 21 Jul 2010 15:48:34 -0700

The Miami Dolphins need to find a complement to WR Brandon Marshall in the starting lineup, reports Omar Kelly, of The Sun-Sentinel. Offensive coordinator Dan Henning loves a smart receiver, and he said WR Brian Hartline was the team's smartest receiver a year ago. Hartline led the Dolphins' receivers in yards per reception (16.3) and the team may want the player opposite Marshall to stretch the field. Hartline is considered the team's fastest option at receiver. He could unseat WR Greg Camarillo for a starting job and hold off Davone Bess.

Carlos Frias, of the Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. was only thrown to three times in Week 4, catching one pass for four yards, due to the offensive game plan. Head coach Tony Sparano said the reason Ginn saw so few opportunities was that the Dolphins often ran their offense from a "big" formation, which calls for two tight ends and other receivers who normally work that scheme. WR Greg Camarillo, who works in that package, and WR Davone Bess each had five passes thrown to them. "Ted got lost with that a little bit," Sparano said.
