Kent Babb, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs OLT Branden Albert reported to the team about 26 pounds heavier than his 2008 playing weight in March. Since then, however, he has lost more than 30 pounds, and has been focused on a strict diet. Albert said he is trying to become a leader for the team.

Kent Babb, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs OT Branden Albert weighed 341 pounds when he reported to the team in March, more than 15 pounds heavier than his playing weight in 2008. Head coach Todd Haley wanted Albert's playing weight down to 305 pounds. He has lost 32 pounds so far this offseason and reported to the team's minicamp this weekend at 309 pounds.
