Doctors have yet to determine the illness of Baltimore Orioles RP Jim Johnson (illness), and he remained hospitalized Wednesday, April 25, as a result. "(They're) still running tests, eliminated some things, haven't completely identified it," manager Buck Showalter said. "He's getting a little frustrated." RP Pedro Strop stepped up again Wednesday, picking up his second save in as many nights.

Baltimore Orioles SPs Jake Arrieta and Jason Hammel will oppose each other in the team's intrasquad game Friday, March 2. Other pitchers will include Kevin Gregg, Matt Lindstrom, Brian Matusz, Alfredo Simon, Dana Eveland, Darren O'Day, Pedro Strop, Zach Phillips, Brad Bergesen, Troy Patton and Miguel Socolovich. Arrieta and Hammel are also expected to pitch in the March 8 spring game against the Atlanta Braves.
