Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) will argue during his appeal hearing that the tape that was released of his domestic violence incident was edited, according to a source. Rice has been suspended indefinitely for the incident.

Fantasy Tip: Rice will not be allow to play this season unless he has his suspension lifted or reduced, but it is hard to see a team signing him at this point. Rice is not an option in any league at this point.

Rice is also contemplating legal action with all options remaining on the table following his increased discipline from the league, and a source noted the potential "double-jeopardy" aspect of the former NFL player being punished twice for the same offense.

Former Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice reportedly told commissioner Roger Goodell in June that he punched his then-fiancee Janae Rice inside an elevator at Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This report contradicts Goodell's claim that the league didn't know exactly what happened before video evidence was released earlier this week.

Fantasy Tip: Owners in shallow leagues can release Rice at this time. Owners in deeper leagues could consider holding onto Rice in case he joins another team later in the season. Justin Forsett probably will receive a bigger role on offense and should be an option for owners looking for help at running back.

Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice has a chance to be released after the video of the domestic violence against his wife became public, according to team officials around the NFL.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Rice will receive any additional punishment based on this new evidence, but he is still scheduled to play Week 3 at this point. Owners should hold onto Rice for now since he has a chance to play at some point this season.
