|Bears | Matt Forte adds muscle|
Thu, 16 Jul 2015 09:15:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Forte should continue to have a big role in the offense this season and will be valuable in all fantasy leagues. He should be selected in one of the first few rounds of drafts and likely will be an every-week starter.

|Bears | Matt Forte carried ball less|
Wed, 08 Jul 2015 13:32:48 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Among other things, new head coach John Fox is known for running the football, which bodes well for Forte, at least on paper. Forte could be past his prime at 30 years old, and Fox may want to use him more sparingly than he has been used in previous seasons. Whether he sees more carries, fewer carries or the same amount of carries, Forte should still be drafted as a top-10 fantasy running back, with more value in PPR leagues.

|Bears | Matt Forte took step back running|
Wed, 08 Jul 2015 07:13:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Forte turns 30 late in the '15 season, and he presents some risk. He broke an NFL record for running backs with 102 receptions last year and had more than 1,800 total yards and 10 touchdowns. Can he come close to repeating that with Jay Cutler's regression and Brandon Marshall gone? He's still a top-five lock, but these are factors to weigh on draft day.

|Bears | Matt Forte will attend training camp|
Thu, 28 May 2015 06:05:46 -0700
Updating previous reports, Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte will attend training camp despite his desire for a contract extension that Chicago has declined to offer. Forte is attending organized team activities.
Fantasy Tip: Forte probably has one last year of being a dominant fantasy player left in the tank at age 29. Chicago's regime change will alter his fantasy value to a degree, though, and the addition of RB Jacquizz Rodgers this offseason could further cut into his pass-catching duties. Forte is a weaker RB1 than he has been in recent years.

|Bears | Matt Forte reports for workouts|
Wed, 27 May 2015 18:35:27 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Forte is looking for a new contract but is not considering a holdout at this time. Forte should continue to see most of the work at running back in 2015 and could be selected in one of the first few rounds of drafts this upcoming season.

|Bears | Matt Forte in last year of contract|
Wed, 20 May 2015 09:15:43 -0700
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte is entering the final year of his current contract, according to Spotrac.com. Forte turns 30 years old Dec. 10 and could struggle to find a full-time role in 2016 if he is unwilling to take a drastic pay cut from his current $7.05 million salary and $9.2 million cap hit. Forte's receiving skills will endear him to a team, but he may be required to share carries.
Fantasy Tip: Forte's hands will keep him in the conversation of starting fantasy running backs in 2016, regardless of where he lands. His 2015 outlook is sound. Expect 102 receptions to be way out of reason, given the change at offensive coordinator, Chicago's addition of RB Jacquizz Rodgers, and the sheer loftiness of last year's ridiculous figure. Forte, entering an age-30 season, is a borderline No. 1 fantasy back. Expect owners to overvalue him based on what he has accomplished rather than what is likely ahead.

|Bears | No extension for Matt Forte now|
Thu, 30 Apr 2015 12:32:12 -0700
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte said he has talked with general manager Ryan Pace about a contract extension but will not be receiving a new deal at this point. Forte would prefer a new deal but is willing to play under his current contract and is not planning to hold out.
Fantasy Tip: Forte will still be the team's starting running back if he does not receive an extension and should be a big part of the offense in 2015. Forte likely will be selected in one of the early rounds of drafts next season and should be a starting option most weeks.

|Bears | Matt Forte still absent|
Tue, 28 Apr 2015 14:05:04 -0700
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte was not present for the team's commencement of their voluntary minicamp Tuesday, April 28. Forte was also absent for the beginning of the offseason program, and could be hinting at a holdout as he pursues an extension before the final year of his contract.
Fantasy Tip: We're still not in the critical stages of the offseason yet, so it's not time to start overreacting yet, especially taking into account that the minicamp is voluntary. Assuming Forte eventually shows up and stays healthy, he's a No. 1 RB candidate, especially in point-per-reception leagues.

|Bears | Matt Forte downplays vacancy|
Tue, 14 Apr 2015 14:29:37 -0700
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte didn't make a big deal out of his absence during the team's voluntary offseason program. Forte stressed the voluntary aspect of the workouts and said he'll be present when it counts.
Fantasy Tip: Time will tell if Forte simply isn't attending the workouts simply because they are voluntary, or if he is holding out because he is unhappy with his current contract or whatever else. Forte is a perennial RB1, especially in point-per-reception leagues, but stay tuned to this situation if he misses non-voluntary portions of the offseason program.

|Bears | Matt Forte not at workouts|
Mon, 13 Apr 2015 16:54:00 -0700
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte was not present for the start of the offseason workouts Monday, April 13, according to sources. Forte is entering the final year of his contract and is looking for a new contract.
Fantasy Tip: Forte is looking for a new deal, so skipping the offseason workouts probably is not a big deal at this point. Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if he will report to training camp on time. Forte likely will be selected in the first few rounds of drafts next season if he does not hold out.
