Raiders | Jordy Nelson, Oakland agree to terms |
Thu, 15 Mar 2018 13:08:26 -0700
Free-agent WR Jordy Nelson (Raiders) agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Oakland Raiders Thursday, March 15, worth $15 million. The deal includes $13 million in guaranteed money.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson should be one of the starting receivers for the Raiders in 2018 after they released Michael Crabtree. He is coming off a disappointing 2017 season but should still be a reliable fantasy receiver. Owners in most leagues should consider Nelson as a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver.

Raiders | Jordy Nelson not a sure thing for Raiders |
Thu, 15 Mar 2018 11:20:34 -0700
Free-agent WR Jordy Nelson (Packers) is not a done deal for the Oakland Raiders. The New Orleans Saints are pushing hard for Nelson and the Seattle Seahawks also remain interested.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson is now one of the most popular names in free agency and is obviously in high demand. He has a lost a step or two with injury and age, but his size and speed make him a valuable asset in any offense. He'll be a solid fit in any of those offenses and can be drafted as a WR3 if he's healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Nelson doesn't have the WR1 clout anymore, but he can be a good WR2 in PPR formats.

Raiders | Jordy Nelson to visit Oakland |
Tue, 13 Mar 2018 18:52:20 -0700
Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Jordy Nelson (Packers) will visit the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday, March 14, a source said.
Fantasy Tip: The Raiders already have Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper, but Nelson would be a nice complementary receiver. He is no longer a No. 1 receiver at this juncture of his career, but he still could be a useful player. If he were to join Oakland, they would have quite the potent passing offense.

Patriots | Jordy Nelson eyeing New England? |
Tue, 13 Mar 2018 18:51:23 -0700
Free-agent WR Jordy Nelson (Packers) was aware the Green Bay Packers intended to release him Tuesday, March 13, and has already targeted the New England Patriots as his next team, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson is coming off a poor 2017 and will turn 33 in late May, but New England would be an interesting fit. It's hard to imagine he would be willing to be a fourth receiver for the Patriots and would likely push Chris Hogan for a starting job while also offering the team insurance against another Julian Edelman injury. His days of being a fantasy WR1 are probably over, but New England would give him a shot at WR3 value if he wins a starting job.

Packers | Jordy Nelson cut |
Tue, 13 Mar 2018 13:29:43 -0700
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson was released Tuesday, March 13, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson is coming off a disappointing 2017 season when he posted only 482 receiving yards but did have six touchdowns. Packers | Jordy Nelson still in plans of team |
Wed, 28 Feb 2018 16:43:21 -0800
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson remains in the team's plans, and both head coach Mike McCarthy and general manager Brian Gutekunst didn't appears to be making plans to cut him after a down season. The duo stressed it is important to examine all factors in Nelson's diminished output.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson had a down season, but he didn't really jell well with backup Brett Hundley while Davante Adams and Randall Cobb fared better. The return of Aaron Rodgers will give Nelson his starting quarterback, and the team will then be able to evaluate him during offseason workouts to determine his future better. It appears he'll be in Green Bay in 2018, at least for now, but it's clear his days as a No. 1 fantasy option are in the rear-view mirror.
