|Packers | Jordy Nelson has resumed running|
Wed, 03 Feb 2016 22:00:15 -0800
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) started to run recently and he is hopeful of being a full participant when training camp begins this summer. "I think Jordy will come back better than ever," head coach Mike McCarthy said. "Just like you knew he would, he's so far ahead with the rehab, he looks great. There's no reason to think he won't be as good as new."
Fantasy Tip: Nelson will be 31 next season, and coming back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, he is a risky fantasy pick at best. In past years he has gone in the early rounds, but let him be other people's risk that early. If he slips into the area of Round 6 through 8, he is worth a spot then if you have your less risky starters selected first.

|Packers | Mike McCarthy talks Jordy Nelson absence|
Tue, 19 Jan 2016 17:45:17 -0800
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson's absence throughout the season gave the Packers a lack of a big target down the field in 2015. Head coach Mike McCarthy lamented that disadvantage. "You look at the production of Jordy when he went inside… now you're dictating to the defense what coverage they can play to you," McCarthy said. "When you don't have that element or the element to complement that, you see what we saw this year."
Fantasy Tip: Nelson is an irreplaceable receiver who gives the Packers not only a big target, but a speedy downfield threat. Nelson is apparently ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation process, so he should be good to go for offseason activities and for next season as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks. There's always risk in drafting a player coming off a serious injury, but Nelson should still be a low-end WR1 consideration.

|Packers | Jordy Nelson ahead of schedule|
Wed, 02 Dec 2015 10:08:10 -0800
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from surgery on his knee, and he said he should be ready for training camp next summer. Nelson is coming to practice every day to help the Packers receivers, including WR Davante Adams, who caught just two passes for 14 yards despite being thrown at 11 times in Week 12.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson should be good to go for the 2016 season, and he'll surely be a high fantasy draft pick despite missing all of the 2015 season. Adams ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) continues to be maddening for his fantasy owners, and he's impossible to predict on a week-to-week basis. He shouldn't be seen as anything more than a sizable gamble in a flex spot on FantasyScore right now.

|Packers | Jordy Nelson placed on IR|
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 14:39:33 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Randall Cobb and Davante Adams are now Aaron Rodgers' go-to wide receivers. Adams should be considered a WR2 with Cobb still in WR1 territory. If you're in a keeper league, feel free to put Nelson in your IR slot as well.

|Packers | Aaron Rodgers had great chemistry with Jordy Nelson|
Mon, 24 Aug 2015 16:12:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: The Packers receiving corps is still pretty deep, but losing a receiver of Nelson's caliber for the year is a big blow, and it'll likely drop Rodgers behind Andrew Luck as the top-rated fantasy quarterback. Randall Cobb remains a WR1 and should benefit from more targets, while Davante Adams is now a legitimate WR3 for fantasy squads.

|Packers | More on Jordy Nelson's injury|
Mon, 24 Aug 2015 15:25:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Devante Adams likely will step in for Nelson this season, which will boost his fantasy value. He could now be a middle-round option in most leagues this this season. Nelson should be ready for next season if he does not suffer any setbacks and should be a solid fantasy option in 2016.

|Packers | Jordy Nelson out for year|
Mon, 24 Aug 2015 14:19:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This was to be expected, there had just been no official word yet. Davante Adams' fantasy value increases tremendously. He could put up WR2 production. Jeff Janis is a sleeper now.

|Packers | Davante Adams next man up|
Sun, 23 Aug 2015 21:30:50 -0700
If Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) misses the season, second-year WR Davante Adams will have an expanded role. He was already expected to have a larger role this year. "I like where I'm at but I want to keep improving every week. I feel like I'm in a good position, and I want to keep working and elevating my game regardless," Adams said.
Fantasy Tip: Adams should be considered a WR3 until he's able to prove he can take the next step on a consistent basis, but in the high-octane Green Bay offense he has plenty of upside. Look for him to soar up draft boards quickly and his $3,600 price for FantasyScore in Week 1 looks to be a bargain.

|Packers | Ty Montgomery could see more work|
Sun, 23 Aug 2015 19:50:42 -0700
Green Bay Packers rookie WR Ty Montgomery could play a larger role should the team be without WR Jordy Nelson (knee) this season. Montgomery has been a standout during training camp and will certainly see more snaps the remainder of this month.
Fantasy Tip: He's worth keeping a close eye on and should be considered as a WR4 or WR5 on draft day. There is potential here, even if he is just third option among the Green Bay receivers. At $2,000 in Week 1 on FantasyScore, he's worth sneaking into your lineup if you're looking for a low-cost option with upside.

|Packers | Jordy Nelson could have torn ACL|
Sun, 23 Aug 2015 12:22:38 -0700
Updating previous reports, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) is believed to have suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during the team's second preseason game, according to a source. However, MRI results have not yet been confirmed.
Fantasy Tip: If Nelson's MRI exam confirms the ACL tear, he could be sidelined for the entire 2015 season. Check back for further updates on his status.
