Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said he knows people are saying he is not a "team guy" based off his recent comments about wanting to be known as "Every Coach's Dream." Johnson said he is an entertaining guy and people have the wrong opinion about him after the comments. "People just can't get sensitive off a nickname," Johnson noted. He said there are not any problems between he and RB LenDale White. "We love playing with each other. We're friends," Johnson said.

Thu, 25 Jun 2009 09:44:12 -0700

Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher isn't sure RB Chris Johnson's self-proclaimed nickname, "Every Coach's Dream," fits. "Maybe with a few exceptions - playing the bongos ... and getting hurt in the playoff game," Fisher said. "I'm sure they'll come up with something else," Fisher said. "Dumb and Dumber or something." RB LenDale White also chimed in. "He's a little delirious. When he wakes up out of the dream he'll be all right. And the one thing about dreams is they are not real," White added. "I don't know him right now. I think it's the Pro Bowl stuff - ya'll created somebody we don't want to see."

Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said he wants to no longer be considered as "Dash" in the tandem of "Smash and Dash" along with RB LenDale White. Instead, Johnson wants to be known as "Every Coach's Dream." Johnson added, "Smash and Dash have had a divorce - that's official. I have to be my own guy, so no more Smash and Dash, that was last year. Every Coach's Dream, that's me. Because they say every team has its own identity. I feel for me, I can't be noticed as a group any more. I am my own guy."

"I'm going to test out celebrations," Johnson said. "I've gotten some, but I feel like I didn't get any one that caught my attention yet." Johnson was jokingly asked that if a fine comes his way because of a celebration, would he ask the fan who suggested it for any help paying for the infraction. "I'll pay the fine. If it's better than T.O. or Ochocinco, I'll pay the fine," Johnson said.

Wed, 13 May 2009 07:45:53 -0700

Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports the Tennessee Titans want to put RB Chris Johnson to work even more this season. That could mean more carries and more catches, but also more creative ways to get them. "There's places we can move him, routes we can run with him, looks we can do with him that we held back last year because I thought I was stretching him too much," offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger said. "But C.J. needs to show he can do those things and he'll work at it. And the more he shows the more we can give him. If C.J. wants to learn it and work at it then we have a chance to move him all around the place."
