The Seattle Seahawks are giving RB Leon Washington a healthy dose of carries in the preseason to see how he fits into their running game this year. RB Marshawn Lynch is expected to be the team's workhorse at tailback, but they want to do their best in the preseason to see how Washington fits in. Washington will once again have a big role on special teams this year. "We're just going to continue to play him back into his playing form. We love him. We love what he does, but think he just needs reps in this zone scheme that we're running and so he can show us where he's special and unique in our stuff. It's just going to be a matter of time," head coach Pete Carroll said. How his role will impact that of backup RB Justin Forsett has to be determined. Carroll noted the team has total confidence in Forsett.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll expects RB Marshawn Lynch to have a large role in the team's Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Greg Johns. Carroll hasn't officially named Lynch the starter over RB Justin Forsett, but it seems likely that Lynch will become the starter soon.

Forsett led the way with 43 yards rushing on seven carries; he also caught three passes for 17 yards. Jones had a team-high eight carries, while rushing for 18 yards. Williams had six carries for 12 yards.
