Head coach Jack Del Rio said both Smith and Groves would play in the game. Del Rio said Smith played a little better than Groves Week 9. Del Rio added, "We'll give him the opportunity to see if he can take advantage of it. He's quick, and he's got some speed leverage off the edge and some natural pass-rush ability."

Head coach Jack Del Rio does not anticipate another defensive move after the performance. "We're going to continue to scratch around and settle on things we think our guys can do best," Del Rio said. "If you're playing a four-man line, you're counting on your ends to generate a little pressure. I feel like our guys were excited about what we did. Obviously, we had a little success and want to build on that." DL Quentin Groves was back in the starting lineup last week after falling to the third team, and recorded three tackles.

Groves did not make the team's charter flight for their Week 5 game but was able to arrive before the game started and played in the game. Head coach Jack Del Rio said Groves will be fined for the incident but will not face any more punishment.
Sun, 11 Oct 2009 16:52:25 -0700 Ryan Duffy, of First Coast News, reports Jacksonville Jaguars DL Quentin Groves was reportedly involved in a car accident Friday, Oct. 9, according to an accident report. The father of one of the drivers, Robyn Jackett, said Groves hit his son's car and another vehicle before fleeing the scene. Jackett said his son was approaching an intersection when a Cadillac Escalade changing lanes clipped another car and sent it spinning. The Escalade then changed lanes again and stopped abruptly, with Jackett's son wedged under the Escalade. Groves then stepped out of his car, said he was a Jaguar and had a plane to catch before driving off, according to Jackett. Another driver witnessed the crash and followed Groves to block him from driving away until airport police arrived, but the report shows Groves was only given a warning for improper lane change and Jackett says police then drove Groves to his plane.

"It's a business. [Head coach Jack Del Rio] said the guys that produce play, and the guys that don't produce get to play special teams. I still get to play the game I love," Groves said. Groves is trying to work his way back into the starting lineup.
