John Shipley, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings LB Erin Henderson is back after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy. Henderson is eligible to be activated for the team's NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 24. The team has a roster exemption through Monday, Jan. 25. Henderson tested positive for a banned substance during training camp but wasn't suspended until November. He said Wednesday, Jan. 20, that he was suspended for a prescription drug, but he declined to specify what it was.

Sean Jensen, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings LB Erin Henderson said he did not do anything wrong to deserve his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. "I'm being punished for doing something I didn't do. I never wanted anyone to run my name through the dirt. So for something like this to mess it up is mind-boggling and really frustrating," Henderson said. Henderson said a combination of medicines he was using during the preseason for allergies, hives and a shoulder injury could have triggered a positive test.

Updating a previous item, Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings LB Erin Henderson will miss the team's final three regular-season games as well as their first playoff game. Henderson will be eligible to return to the active roster on the day following the team's first postseason game. Henderson will lose $67,950 in salary in addition to a winner or loser's share from the first postseason game.
