Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) said via Twitter that he took part in a football workout for the first time Thursday, Feb. 2, since suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament. "Cleats on again for the first time today ... felt weird but I'm gettin back into it," Charles said.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, according to a source familiar with the situation. Charles was injured during Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. Charles will undergo an MRI Monday, Sept. 19, but the initial diagnosis doesn't look encouraging.

Fantasy Tip: This makes Dexter McCluster (available in 83 percent of leagues) and Thomas Jones (available in 52 percent of leagues) top waiver wire acquisitions. The Chiefs' offense is struggling, but they are a ground-based team, so don't expect that to change as long as they are in games. Look for a fairly even split between Jones and McCluster; the latter will have more value in PPR leagues. Charles should be dropped in all non-keeper leagues.
