Updating a previous item, Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Jets LB Vernon Gholston (hamstring) "tweaked" his hamstring during practice Monday, Nov. 9, according to head coach Rex Ryan, and missed the team's practice Wednesday, Nov. 11. Ryan added, "(The hamstring) is doing worse than I thought it would. We'll see if he can play or not as the week goes on." The team may choose to sit Gholston for Week 10.

Gholston was not a popular draft pick, as opinions in the team's draft room were mixed on him. However, the team selected Gholston in the draft because then-head coach Eric Mangini lobbied hard for him. "That one's on Eric," according to a source.
