He threw six fastballs and two sliders and said he felt fine after the game. Rodriguez's fastball topped out at 97 mph but he later admitted that he wasn't throwing at 100 percent force or arm strength, after finding out during his bullpen sessions that he could still be effective without overexerting himself.
