Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Dejan Kovacevic reports Pittsburgh Pirates SS Argenis Diaz, 22, was hitting .253 with no homers and 24 RBIs for Double-A Portland. His defensive skills have been graded as excellent. "Diaz has some work to do with the bat, but we love his defense," general manager Neal Huntington said. "Right away, he's the best defensive shortstop in our system."
