The Sports Network reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald finished the 2005 season with a club record 103 catches, surpassing the old mark of 101 set by RB Larry Centers in 1995 and matched by WR Anquan Boldin in 2003.

The Associated Press reports St. Louis Rams RB Marshall Faulk set the NFL record for receiving yards by a running back during the Week 14 game. Faulk currently has 6,801 receiving yards, four more than the previous record holder, free agent FB Larry Centers.

The Houston Chronicle's Joseph Duarte reports New England Patriots FB Larry Centers may retire after the Super Bowl. "It's getting real close," Centers said. "I've been talking about retirement. If I sit back and say that this is my last game, it doesn't really sound right to me. It could easily be my last game as a football player, and if we come away with a win, it would be a great way to go out. What else could I ask for as a player? I've had personal accomplishments. The only thing I haven't had as a player is team success."

Dan Pires, of the New Bedford Standard-Times, reports New England Patriots FB Larry Centers (knee), who was re-signed earlier this week after being released with an injury settlement in October, is fully healed from a knee injury and will be utilized in Week 15. "I think the injury has healed," coach Bill Belichick said. "He has been away from football for six or seven weeks, there is a timing element that needs to be re-calibrated."

Tom E. Curran, of the Providence Journal, reports New England Patriots FB Larry Centers, who is now eligible to return after reaching an injury settlement with the team in October, may be added to the active roster this week. OL Wilbert Brown would likely be released if Centers is signed.

Dan Pires, of the New Bedford Times, reports FB Larry Centers (knee), who received an injury settlement, is likely to be back with the New England Patriots. However, it's more likely to be later than sooner. Centers suffered a severe injury to his right knee in Week 6 against the New York Giants, albeit one that does not require surgery.
