Los Angeles Dodgers executives De Jon Watson and Logan White are also candidates for the position.

Assistant general manager Anthony LaCava said Loewen will be at the team's Spring Training camp next year and they will explore the possibility of playing him at first base or at a corner outfield spot. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
