Detroit Tigers OF Austin Jackson (hamstring) has been activated from the 15-day disabled list. He'll be active for the team's series opener versus the Minnesota Twins on Friday, June 14. In a corresponding move, the club has optioned OF Avisail Garcia to Triple-A Toledo. Jackson was 3-for-13 with three singles, a walk and five strikeouts in three games for Toledo during his rehab assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Don't worry about Jackson's results during his rehab assignment and plug him back in there. Garcia figures to get an opportunity at some point again this season, particularly if the club continues to get poor production regularly in left field.

Detroit Tigers OF Austin Jackson (hamstring) has resumed taking batting practice, but he is still not close enough to begin a minor-league rehab assignment. Fantasy Tip: With Jackson sidelined, Avisail Garcia continues to see a bulk of the starts in center field, especially since Don Kelly has not been hitting. Garcia is worth using in AL-only leagues since he is seeing regular at-bats.

The Detroit Tigers don't plan to rush OF Austin Jackson (hamstring) back from the disabled list. Jackson has been throwing and swinging a little in the batting cages. He hasn't done much on-field work, though.
Fantasy Tip: Don Kelly and Avisail Garcia have been holding down the fort well enough that Detroit wants to take its time with A-Jax. Keep stashing him on your disabled list or bench but be prepared to wait a few more weeks until he resurfaces.
