Matt Mosley, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells has said he will make a game-time decision on who will replace injured LB Greg Ellis (Achilles') as the starter at left outside linebacker. Parcells will decide between LBs Bobby Carpenter and Al Singleton.

Rob Phillips, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys DL/LB Greg Ellis has been playing well at left outside linebacker and has been on the first defensive team ahead of LB Al Singleton over the past few practices. Ellis' success at the position could be the reason why the team moved LB Bobby Carpenter over from left outside linebacker to inside linebacker. If Ellis continues to perform well throughout camp and preseason, he could lock up the starting job and relegate Carpenter to a backup role for his rookie season.
