The Minnesota Twins will only need to address SP Nick Blackburn's (quadriceps) turn in the rotation once (May 26) because of the team's off day Monday, May 21. Ps Anthony Swarzak and Brian Duensing are both candidates for the start Saturday, May 26. However, SP Liam Hendriks, who is 1-0 with a 1.54 ERA and 12 strikeouts with Triple-A Rochester, could be another choice.

Minnesota Twins SP Brian Duensing is a likely candidate to move to the bullpen after starting in 2011. General manager Terry Ryan said the team won't decide that until spring training. "We've got a situation there where we've got probably six, seven, eight guys that will be in the area of starting and potential to be starters," Ryan said. "I wouldn't eliminate Duensing. I wouldn't eliminate (SP Anthony Swarzak). I wouldn't eliminate (P Matt Maloney). I wouldn't eliminate (P Scott Diamond). We're going to end up opening that thing up down there. Obviously we'll have decisions to make."
