Minnesota Twins RP Brian Duensing (illness) will receive intravenous fluids Tuesday, April 23, due to flu-like symptoms. He said he wouldn't have been able to pitch the previous day.

Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire didn't want to address the situation of SP Brian Duensing going back to the bullpen. Duensing owns a 3-10 record following a 5-4 loss Thursday, Aug. 30, against the Seattle Mariners. "He did a nice job today," Gardenhire said. "He pitched well. He gave us a great chance to win. We'll move forward from there and we'll see where we're at."

Minnesota Twins SP Brian Duensing is scheduled to make his next start Friday, June 29, against the Kansas City Royals. Duensing threw 63 pitches in his first start of the season Saturday, June 23, and he hadn't thrown more than 28 pitches in any of his relief outings in June. Duensing said he hit a wall at around 50 pitches. He is likely to be stretched out to 70-plus pitches Friday, but it will take time to increase his pitch count.
