Blackburn threw 90 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday, May 26, and did not have any problems.

Blackburn said he's fine now and felt "great" after throwing Wednesday, April 18. He is on schedule to make his next start Tuesday, April 24, against the Boston Red Sox. Blackburn will throw a light bullpen Friday, April 20, and a full one Saturday, April 21. "I don't understand it," Blackburn said of the injury the team labeled shoulder stiffness. "At no point was it ever painful. I don't even know what to call it. It's very bizarre."
