Sun, 06 Jan 2013 12:29:00 -0800 Free-agent OF Jai Miller (Orioles) has decided to enroll at the University of Alabama for the spring 2013 semester with the intention of playing college football next fall. The 27-year-old Miller, who has played in the major leagues with the Florida Marlins, Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics, had committed to playing football at Stanford University coming out of high school before deciding to pursue a career in professional baseball instead. He had spoken to Alabama head coach Nick Saban about joining the team several weeks ago and is expected to play safety.
