Michael Eisen reports for Giants.com undrafted free agent TE Marcellus Rivers has been impressing the New York Giants staff during this weekend's rookie mini-camp. The Giants need a pass-catching tight end and Rivers is an outstanding receiver, one who has caught every ball thrown to him in the camp. "He looks pretty good," coach Jim Fassel said. "He's very athletic, he catches the ball and he's picking things up. I haven't seen him drop a ball yet." Catching the ball is easy for Rivers, but but his strength and blocking skills are suspect. One Giant who believes Rivers will succeed is LB Jack Golden, who used to cover his friend in practice at Oklahoma State.
