Chicago Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo swatted a solo home run Wednesday, July 9, against the Cincinnati Reds, the team's only offense in a 4-1 setback.

Fantasy Tip: Rizzo is one of the finalists for the 2014 All-Star Final Vote in the National League, and this could give him a bump before the winner is announced Thursday. As far as fantasy value, Rizzo has 20 homers and continues to give his owners plenty of things to smile about, All-Star or not.

Chicago Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo is hitting .344 with five homers in 61 at-bats against left-handers this season. He hit just .189 with seven homers in 189 at-bats against lefties last season. "I feel more comfortable against them now and it's the best I've ever hit left-handers at any level," Rizzo said. "I don't know if I'll ever figure lefties out - or right-handers, either - but I do feel confident against them."

Fantasy Tip: Rizzo is hitting .284-13-36 in what is looking like a breakout season.

Chicago Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo (back) was forced to leave the game Saturday, April 19, against the Cincinnati Reds due to back spasms. However, Rizzo said he does not expect to miss the game Sunday, April 20. "It just started barking on me in the fifth or sixth, and once we took the four-run lead, I (decided to) play with more caution than go up there, get another at-bat and go out on the field and hurt it even more," Rizzo said.
