Steve Silva, of The Boston Globe, reports the Boston Red Sox have signed P Jennel Hudson to a 2008 contract. Hudson, who is from Cologne, Germany, is the first European player signed by the team's current ownership. He is expected to report to the team's Florida Instructional League this fall.
