Detroit Tigers P Matthew Hoffman's (knee) knee was swollen Monday, March 5, but he doesn't have any structural damage after being hit by a comebacker Sunday, March 4. He was held out of workouts Monday as a precaution, and he says he'll be fine.

The Detroit Tigers signed OF Andy Dirks, SS Hernan Perez, SP Adam Wilk, SP Andrew Oliver and SP Matthew Hoffman to one-year deals for the 2012 season Wednesday, Feb. 22. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The Detroit Tigers added P Matthew Hoffman, P Tyler Stohr, P Casey Crosby, OF Avisail Garcia and INF Hernan Perez to their 40-man roster Friday, Nov. 18, in order to protect them from the upcoming Rule 5 Draft.
