He's also being exposed to action at second and first base. Flores has exclusively been a shortstop in the organization, but he played 87 games at third base, 27 games at second base and seven games at first base last season in the minors.

Flores is batting .167 in 48 at-bats in winter ball and has made 12 starts at third base and two apiece at second base and short. "We've talked about the benefits of him staying at shortstop and it will help him regardless of where he moves. We do think that the next move, if there is a move, and I think it's probably likely at some point, it will be in the infield," vice president Paul DePodesta said.
