The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim placed C Chris Iannetta (wrist) on the 15-day disabled list Friday, May 11, and recalled C John Hester from the minors in a corresponding move. Iannetta is expected to miss six to eight weeks. Hester was hitting .266 with two home runs and six RBIs in 18 games with the Class AAA affiliates for the Baltimore Orioles and Angels this year.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim C Chris Iannetta (wrist) has been diagnosed with a fractured right wrist, and he'll undergo surgery Friday, May 11. C Bobby Wilson will take over the primary catching duties, and the Angels will add another catcher Friday. C Hank Conger (elbow) is on the disabled list with Triple-A Salt Lake and hasn't played since mid-April. Cs Robinzon Diaz and John Hester are other options at Salt Lake. They could also choose to go to Class AA and select C Alberto Rosario.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim C Hank Conger (elbow) was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Salt Lake due to right elbow injury. "Just a light sprain in the elbow," Conger said via text message. "I'll be good. Should be back in a couple of weeks. Nothing serious." Cs Robinzon Diaz and John Hester will split time behind the plate for the Bees while Conger is on the shelf.

The Arizona Diamondbacks reassigned OF Wily Mo Pena and Ps Micah Owings and Brian Sweeney to the minor league camp Monday, March 21, reports Gregory Pratt, of the Phoenix New Times. The team also optioned C John Hester to Triple-A Reno.
