Free-agent DL Simeon Rice (Buccaneers) said Tuesday, March 29, that he is ready to return to the NFL if needed, reports Ira Kaufman, of The Tampa Tribune. "All I know is my services are ready if they're ready," Rice said. Since leaving the NFL in 2007, Rice has been working on a film career.

Rice is considered to be in his best physical shape in years, and his pain-free shoulder has been medically cleared. Rice's speed has been consistently timed in the 4.50-second range. He will be seeking offers for the 2009 NFL season.
