Tampa Bay Rays OF Desmond Jennings (groin) was not in the starting lineup Saturday, May 11, because of a sore groin, but manager Joe Maddon said Jennings could be in the lineup Sunday, May 12.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings and Maddon do not seem too concerned about the injury and believe he will be back soon. It would be a concern if Jennings continues to miss games, but it appears he will be back in a few days.

Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon said OF Desmond Jennings (groin) may be dealing with a "bit of a sore groin," and the outfielder could sit out Saturday, May 11, as well as Friday, May 10. However, Maddon indicated the injury is minor.

Fantasy Tip: If it's just a couple days off, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If not, Sam Fuld will be the player that benefits most. Fuld isn't flashy, but we've seen what he can do with steady playing before, and he could be a short-term boost in stolen bases if Jennings' injury winds up being worse than believed.

Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon said OF Desmond Jennings has been chasing pitches, which is a sign that he's tired. Jennings was given the night off Friday, April 26.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Desmond Jennings (ankle) rolled his left ankle while rounding second base during an exhibition game Saturday, March 9. He was removed for precautionary measures but said he would have continued playing if it were the regular season. Jennings said the ankle was fine and is expected to return to action Monday, March 11, against the Minnesota Twins.

The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to terms with the following players on one-year contracts: Ps Chris Archer, Alex Cobb, Alex Colome, Frank De Los Santos, Brandon Gomes, Brandon Guyer, Josh Lueke, Jake McGee, Mike Montgomery, Jake Odorizzi, Cesar Ramos, Felipe Rivero, Enny Romero and Alexander Torres, Cs Robinson Chirinos, Chris Gimenez, Jose Lobaton and Stephen Vogt, INFs Tim Beckham and Hak-Ju Lee and OF Desmond Jennings. They have also renewed the contract of SP Jeremy Hellickson. As a result, all members of the team's 40-man roster are now under contract for the 2013 season.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Desmond Jennings said he expects to have a smooth transition moving to center field because it is his natural position. "I feel like center field is my natural position," Jennings said. "It's what I played throughout the Minor Leagues. It will be a little bit different from last year, but that's what I like. I feel like I get better reads out in center."
