New York Yankees RP Ryota Igarashi will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after being claimed off waivers. Igarashi had a 1.29 ERA and four saves in 21 innings with Triple-A Las Vegas for the Toronto Blue Jays this year. P Brad Meyers (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day disabled list to make room.

New York Yankees P Brad Meyers (shoulder), a Rule 5 pick, will open the season on the 15-day disabled list. When healthy, he is likely to pitch on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Meyers might open in the Triple-A rotation, while someone from SWB is bumped up to the big league bullpen. "That's not the way we drew it up but that's the way the cookie crumbles for us right now," general manager Brian Cashman said. "I can't offer (Meyers) back while he's hurt. When you offer him back you're certifying that he's healthy. I can't do that and get away with it."

Mitchell, Brad Meyers, George Kontos, Cesar Cabral and Dellin Betances, Cs Austin Romine and Francisco Cervelli, INFs Ramiro Pena, Eduardo Nunez, Brandon Laird, Corban Joseph and David Adams and OFs Melky Mesa, Justin Maxwell and Zoilo Almonte. Financial terms weren't given.
