The Post Dispatch reports the St. Louis Rams did not make tender offers to restricted free agent RB Justin Watson and WR Damon Griffin, which makes them unrestricted free agents. Watson had been with the team for the past three seasons.

The Post-Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams DE Leonard Little (concussion) was back at practice Friday. "I feel a whole lot better," he said Friday after practice. Backup WR Damon Griffin missed practice for the fourth day in a row Friday because of a pulled hamstring.

The Post Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams WR Damon Griffin, who signed with the team Wednesday, will probably not suit up Sunday, even though coach Mike Martz is impressed so far. "His first contribution would be on special teams and I think he'll have a significant contribution there. Then we'll see what he can do as a wide receiver. I'm really impressed with him as a wide receiver."

The Belleville News-Democrat reports the St. Louis Rams have signed free agent WR Damon Griffin. He spent the last two seasons with the Bengals. Rams coach Mike Martz said he was impressed by Griffin's workout. Griffin said a hamstring injury he suffered early in training camp led to him being cut by the Bengals. Griffin said he may return kicks for the team when he is back to full health.

Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson reports the team has re-signed DE Jevon Langford. He had been released on Sunday. Langford's agent, Peter Schaffer, confirmed an ESPN.com report Wednesday night, opening up speculation DE John Copeland's injury (see previous story) could be serious enough to land him on season-ending IR list because the Bengals are one player over the 53-man roster. The Bengals had no comment, but Schaffer said Langford plans to sign a three-year contract Thursday morning and practice Thursday afternoon. Also, the Bengals worked out veteran DT Tim Morabito Wednesday after his release from Carolina. Finally, the team waived WR Damon Griffin, with an injury settlement.

Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson reports the Bengals made more roster cuts today and the list contained a few surprises. S/KR Tremain Mack and P Daniel Pope were two of the cuts. The team placed rookie TE Sean Brewer on the injured reserve list. WR Damon Griffin was also placed on IR with a minor injury. The team officially re-signed QB Scott Covington when the team was forced to carry four QBs due to Scott Mitchell's injury. Also released were FB Clif Groce and DE Kevin Henry. WR Malcolm Johnson, C Roger Roesler and DE Corey Moore joined the list of released players. Rookie free agents who have practice squad eligibility that were cut were TE Kirk McMullen, DT Jeff Boyle, and LBs Rashad Harris and Chris Edmonds.

Geoff Hobson reports for Bengals.com the team plans to proably keep six WRs. WRs Darnay Scott, Peter Warrick, Chad Johnson and Ron Dugans are healthy and probable roster locks. WR Danny Farmer (knee) could be out a week or two, seventh-rounder T.J. Houshmandzadeh (foot) has been out three weeks, and Damon Griffin missed Thursday with a hamstring injury. Word is Houshmandzadeh will get picked up if released, so he may make the final roster. Griffin may have an edge because he can return punts.

LB Brian Simmons (neck and shoulder) is questionable. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (foot) has been downgraded to doubtful. FB Nick Williams (knee) is out. DE Jevon Langford (upper respiratory) is expected to return to practice today.

Other injuries from last night included, LB Armegis Spearman (ankle), MLB Brian Simmons (shoulder), RT Jamain Stephens (shoulder), FS Darryl Williams (torn forearm muscle) and WR Damon Griffin (hamstring). TE Marco Battaglia (knee) is expected to return to the lineup for next week's game.

Chick Ludwig, of the Dayton Daily News, reports for the Sporting News that Cincinnati Bengals WRs Craig Yeast and Damon Griffin are going to have a difficult time making the team's final roster. Both receivers are under 5-10 and the Bengals have been going with taller receivers as of late.

Training camp and pre-season games will mean a lot for the Cincinnati Bengals backup WRs this year according to Bengals.com. Cincinnati has a lot of depth at the wide receiver position, so the likes of Danny Farmer, Ron Dugans, Craig Yeast, Damon Griffin, LaVell Boyd and Chad Plummer will all be battling during roster spots. The Bengals will likely work WRs Peter Warrick, Darnay Scott and rookies Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh into the pre-season games early this year.

The Cincinnati Post reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Damon Griffin has spent about 12 weeks training with John Davies, an internationally traveled strength and speed consultant, in California in an attempt to improve his speed. WR Danny Farmer joined Griffin for two days in Newport Beach. WR Ron Dugans is planning to use Davies' program this spring. Griffin said he's in the best shape he's been since his junior season at the University of Oregon four years ago. Davies projected that Griffin should be down from a 4.5 40-yard dash to a 4.35-4.39 range when he's timed at mini-camp in May.
