San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford is not in the starting lineup against Colorado Rockies SP Christian Bergman Sunday, Oct. 4. INF Nick Noonan will play shortstop and bat seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Noonan ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is just 2-for-19 at the plate this season and should not be a consideration for FantasyScore lineups this afternoon.

San Francisco Giants OF Angel Pagan and SS Brandon Crawford are not in the lineup against Los Angeles Dodgers left-handed SP Brett Anderson Thursday, Oct. 1. OF Jarrett Parker is starting in center field and batting sixth, while SS Nick Noonan is at shortstop and is hitting eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Parker ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is a worth a look as a value pick on FantasyScore, but the fact that he's facing a lefty makes him even more shaky. He has six home runs and 13 RBI in just 38 at-bats for the Giants. Ignore Noonan ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) everywhere.

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Sept. 9. SS Nick Noonan is starting at shortstop and is batting seventh against Arizona Diamondbacks SP Zack Godley.
Fantasy Tip: Noonan ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) isn't available yet on FantasyScore, but he doesn't deserve your attention.

San Francisco Giants 1B Brandon Belt (illness) is not in the starting lineup Saturday, Sept. 5, against the Colorado Rockies. 1B Nick Noonan will bat eighth against Rockies SP Chad Bettis.
Fantasy Tip: Belt ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) likely may have been out with the Rockies throwing a righty in Bettis, but Belt suffered stomach pains earlier in the day and was scratched. Noonan carries no FantasyScore value.

San Francisco Giants 2Bs Ehire Adrianza (hamstring) and Marco Scutaro (back) were placed on the disabled list Friday, July 25. In corresponding moves, 2Bs Dan Uggla and Tony Abreu were recalled from Triple-A Fresno. SS Nick Noonan and P Jose De Paula were designated for assignment to clear space on the 40-man roster.

San Francisco Giants 2B Ehire Adrianza has always been a sure-handed defensive infielder, but his bat has been slow to develop in the minors. He's a switch hitter competing for a roster spot this spring and has a career average of .248 in the minor leagues. Adrianza finished the 2013 season at Triple-A Fresno, hitting .310 in 45 games.
He's impressed this spring, and manager Bruce Bochy called him "the most impressive guy in camp so far." As of Wednesday, March 12, he was 5-for-19 (.263) with two home runs. "I've seen power; I've seen him drive the ball at times in the minor leagues, but just not consistently," assistant general manager Bobby Evans said. After those adjustments, Evans said, "he was hitting the ball hard – not soft line drives – and it showed in the box scores." Adrianza is competing with INFs Joaquin Arias, Nick Noonan and Brandon Hicks. Adrianza played almost exclusively at shortstop in the minors, but he's looked adequate at second base in camp.
Fantasy Tip: The Giants are bringing Marco Scutaro (back) along slowly, and there's a decent chance he begins on the DL. At his age, too, he'll likely need to be spelled frequently throughout the season. Adrianza is a real sleeper option in NL-only leagues.

San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy is worried about the progress of 2B Marco Scutaro (back), who is at least another week away from playing in spring games. "If you ask me at the end of next week and he's not playing or close to playing, we'll have to have another plan here," said Bochy. Scutaro started taking groundballs last week and did soft toss Friday, March, but he's "still a few days away from live BP." The team would like Scutaro to receive at least 30 to 35 at-bats in camp. INFs Tony Abreu, Nick Noonan, Brandon Hicks and Ehire Adrianza are receiving extra playing time on the infield as a result.
