San Francisco Giants manager said INF Nick Noonan was scheduled to get into the lineup against the San Diego Padres Sunday, April 28, but INF Marco Scutaro (back) said he felt good and didn't want a day of rest. Scutaro has been bothered occasionally by back issues.

San Francisco Giants SS Nick Noonan was brought back to the major league camp after SS Wilson Valdez was released Friday, March 22, and Noonan is getting another look for the utility spot.

The team optioned SS Ehire Adrianza, RP Jose Casilla, 3B Conor Gillaspie, RP Alex Hinshaw, OF Thomas Neal, OF Francisco Peguero, P Henry Sosa and SP Clayton Tanner to the minors.
