Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco (elbow) will build up throwing from 75 feet Monday, March 5. He is hopeful of moving out to 90 feet before the end of March as he makes his way back from Tommy John surgery.

Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, and he said he will likely miss all of next season. His surgery will be Sept. 14 and will be done by Dr. David Altchek.

Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta said the team is still weighing options regarding what to do with SP Carlos Carrasco (elbow). A report in a Veneuelan newspaper last week quoted minor league P Hector Rondon, who said his countryman might require Tommy John surgery. "As far as I know, we're still gathering information and different opinions on Carrasco," Acta said. "We haven't made the decision just yet."

Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco (elbow) continues to regain motion and feel better at intervals. The team is hopeful Carrasco can begin a throwing program as early as next week.
