He'll face hitters from Cleveland's Class AAA Columbus affiliate while they're visiting Columbus. Fantasy Tip: He may keep the rotation spot that needs filling with Zach McAllister (finger) on the DL. AL-only players should monitor Carrasco.
Sun, 09 Jun 2013 11:18:07 -0700 Updating a previous report, Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco had his suspension for throwing at New York Yankees 3B Kevin Youkilis reduced from eight to seven games. He began serving the suspension Sunday, June 9, and manager Terry Francona said it shouldn't force any of the other starters to pitch on short rest because of an off day Thursday, June 13.

SP Carlos Carrasco has been recalled from Triple-A Columbus to make the start Saturday, June 8, with SP Justin Masterson having his start pushed back to Sunday, June 9.
Fri, 24 May 2013 10:08:48 -0700 The Cleveland Indians are debating on how to have SP Carlos Carrasco, who's currently at Triple-A Columbus, serve his MLB suspension, stemming from when he plunked New York Yankees 3B Kevin Youkilis on April 9. On Thursday, May 23, general manager Chris Antonetti filed an appeal of the eight-game ban. Fantasy Tip: Carrasco is 2-0 with a 1.36 ERA in eight games at Columbus, striking out 41 and walking nine. Cleveland is still monitoring his workload because he's still recovering from Tommy John surgery. In AL-only formats, and some cavernous mixed games, he could provide a boost sometime this summer.

SP Carlos Carrasco was ejected during his outing Tuesday, April 9, which called for SP Brett Myers to come in and pitch for 5 1/3 innings. Fantasy Tip: Kluber can be ignored in all universes since he'll likely be sent down to the minors after making this start. Carrasco hasn't endeared himself to the Tribe early this year after serving a suspension for throwing at a hitter late last year. Expect Carrasco to be sent back down when Scott Kazmir (rib cage) comes off the DL.

Fantasy Tip: Carrasco was ejected in the fourth inning, so manager Terry Francona called upon Myers to get ready and come on. Obviously he will not be making his start Wednesday, and the team has not yet named a replacement.
