Retired WR Isaac Bruce will join the St. Louis Rams to help work with the team's wide receivers during training camp.

Former St. Louis Rams WR Isaac Bruce helped out at the Chicago Bears' training camp, serving as a guest coach and working with the wide receivers and their position coach Darryl Drake, reports the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs. When asked how he could help the wideouts, Bruce said, "No. 1 just be more confident in it. ... Just make sure they take everything that they're being taught in the meeting, bring it out on the field and be comfortable with it."

The St. Louis Rams traded a conditional 2012 draft pick to the San Francisco 49ers for WR Isaac Bruce, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The condition is that Bruce will play this season, which he won't as Bruce will announce his retirement.

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo hopes to talk to former Rams WR Isaac Bruce about the team's vacancy at wide receivers coach. Spagnuolo said, "I don't know him that well. But I've heard so many great things about him as a person. And I certainly know what he was like as a player. At some point I'll try to give him a call."

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports San Francisco 49ers WR Isaac Bruce, who is expected to retire this offseason, is said to be open to the possibility of talking to the St. Louis Rams about their wide receivers coaching position if they are interested in him for the job, according to sources. Sources said Bruce would only be a wide receivers coach for the Rams.

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers WR Isaac Bruce (ankle) missed the team's practice Friday, Jan. 1. He is listed as questionable for Week 17. Head coach Mike Singletary said Bruce would suit up, but it might be nothing more than a token gesture.
