However, because the team is squeezed up against the NFL salary cap, Pasquarelli reasons that Coady will make at or near the $530,000 minimum base salary mark for a player of his tenure.

Word out of St. Louis is that it looks less than 50-50 that Archuleta will be on the field this weekend.

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports because of the injury situation at secondary, the St. Louis Rams will put newly-acquired S Rich Coady to immediate use on special teams, as well as in their nickel and dime packages. He will begin the regular season among their top six defensive backs. Coady, who played in 40 regular season games with the Rams from 1999 to 2001, knows the system, so he should get up to speed quickly.
