Updating a previous item, Chicago White Sox RP Nate Jones (back) underwent a microdiscectomy Monday, May 5, and doctors found what was expected. Jones could resume baseball activities in a month after he's re-evaluated.

Fantasy Tip: It'll be a while before Jones returns to the big leagues. The long timetable back means you can probably afford to dump him in mixed leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Matt Lindstrom has some leeway with Jones out longer. Jones can be dumped in mixed leagues but is worth stashing on the DL in AL-only leagues.

Chicago White Sox RP Nate Jones (back) is dealing with soreness and pain in his lower back, not his gluteus muscle. Jones received an epidural injection and is feeling much better.

Fantasy Tip: Jones is still the White Sox's best long-term option for the ninth, but he has no timetable for a return from the DL. He must earn the trust of manager Robin Ventura, too, before the skipper considers him over Matt Lindstrom.
