Saints | Alvin Kamara draws high praise |
Sun, 30 Jul 2017 17:39:08 -0700
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara's playing style resembles that of retired RB Marshall Faulk, head coach Sean Payton said Sunday, July 30.
Fantasy Tip: The crowded backfield in New Orleans puts Kamara in RB5 territory for now, but he has intriguing upside in keeper leagues, especially in PPR formats.

Jets | Mark Sanchez to blame for Tim Tebow's arrival? |
Thu, 29 Mar 2012 06:47:52 -0700
Former NFL RB Marshall Faulk said New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez has only himself to blame for the arrival of QB Tim Tebow. "If I'm Mark Sanchez, and they bring in Tebow, it means I hit one of those spells that I always hit," Faulk said. "He's just - Mark hasn't been consistent throughout the flow of games. He went weeks at a time and not looked good." Faulk singled out last season's clash between the Jets and Denver Broncos in Week 11 as proof. "The pick-six that Mark Sanchez threw against Denver, that they ran back for a touchdown and, in turn, gave Tebow an opportunity to drive down the field with the game-winning touchdown - Mark Sanchez? Yeah, all this is on him."

Lions | Marshall Faulk not impressed with Matthew Stafford's stats |
Fri, 17 Feb 2012 07:53:35 -0800
Former NFL RB Marshall Faulk said he is not impressed with Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford's 5,000-yard passing season in 2011. Faulk said those type of numbers are now the norm in today's NFL. "Throwing for 5,000 yards in the NFL right now is nothing," Faulk said. "I don't want to take anything away from it. As much as people throw the football now, you better have 5,000 (yards) if you have Calvin Johnson."

Bears | Marshall Faulk defends Mike Martz |
Tue, 31 Jan 2012 17:16:00 -0800
Hall of Fame RB Marshall Faulk defended former St. Louis Rams head coach and former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz, saying his former coach was forced to work with "lesser talent" during his two-year run with the Bears. "Listen man, I'm going to say this and whoever plays for the Bears, if they want to have a conversation with me, so be it: Martz was working with lesser talent than he was accustomed to working with," Faulk said Tuesday, Jan. 31. "If they keep providing you lesser talent, you have to leave. I mean, other than RB Matt Forte, there wasn't anybody who would scare a defense. When you go and get WR Roy Williams and he becomes your No. 1 wide receiver, that's an issue. I'm defending Mike because I can only imagine how hard it was to game plan (with that roster)."

Titans | Marshall Faulk advises Chris Johnson to continue holdout |
Tue, 18 May 2010 04:53:57 -0700
Former NFL RB Marshall Faulk said he would tell Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson to hold out as long as possible for as much money as he can get, according to Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean. "Without a doubt, if more money is what he wants, he has to hold out," Faulk said. "You have to know who you are dealing with. The Titans aren't known for caving in or paying, it doesn't matter who you are. In my opinion, there is no way he can come in and play under the current contract.'' Johnson is scheduled to earn $550,000 this season, the third year of a five-year, $12 million deal he signed in 2008.
