Sun, 26 May 2013 18:06:14 -0700 Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson said Sunday, May 26, that SP Jordan Zimmermann is not an option to work Tuesday, May 28, to work on three days' rest in place of the injured SP Ross Detwiler (oblique). Fantasy Tip: Zimmermann will start Wednesday, May 29, against the Baltimore Orioles. He is just 1-2 against the Orioles in three starts since the start of the 2010 season, but he has a fantastic 2.75 ERA during that span over 19 2/3 innings. He remains a must-start fantasy option in all formats.

Zimmermann lowered his ERA to 1.64 and extended his shutout streak to 18 innings. He has given up three hits in 17 innings over his last two outings and has allowed only eight runs all year in 44 innings. "He's obviously got everything working right now," said C Kurt Suzuki. "He's pitching up in the zone, down in the zone, in and out, he's really mixing it up with his breaking balls, he's throwing breaking balls for strikes. He's got it working. Even during the game, he keeps it loose. He's really fun to work with."
