Vaughn McClure, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears OT Orlando Pace continues to contemplate retirement. Pace said, "It's still up in the air. I'm still feeling my way through this. I haven't talked to anyone in the organization about it yet. That probably should be happening in the next week or so."

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears OT Orlando Pace was adequate with his pass blocking last season, but he struggled in blocking for running plays. Scouts said Pace was not as effective in the ground game as the Bears needed.

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears OT Orlando Pace said he will consider retirement at the end of the season. "After the season I will re-evaluate and see how I feel, if it makes sense (to return in 2010), and if I even want to play," Pace said after practice Friday, Jan. 1. Pace has been moved to a backup role and returning as an insurance plan is something that might not interest him. "I miss playing. I'm a player. I've been playing for a while so this is an adjustment for me," Pace said. "That's why I said I really have to re-evaluate what I want to do as far as my career goes. It's just one of those things. I understand the situation."
