The Tampa Bay Rays placed RP Brandon Gomes (lat) on the 15-day disabled list with a right lat strain Friday, May 10, and recalled RP Josh Lueke from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.

The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to terms with the following players on one-year contracts: Ps Chris Archer, Alex Cobb, Alex Colome, Frank De Los Santos, Brandon Gomes, Brandon Guyer, Josh Lueke, Jake McGee, Mike Montgomery, Jake Odorizzi, Cesar Ramos, Felipe Rivero, Enny Romero and Alexander Torres, Cs Robinson Chirinos, Chris Gimenez, Jose Lobaton and Stephen Vogt, INFs Tim Beckham and Hak-Ju Lee and OF Desmond Jennings. They have also renewed the contract of SP Jeremy Hellickson. As a result, all members of the team's 40-man roster are now under contract for the 2013 season.

The Tampa Bay Rays recalled SP Alex Cobb from Triple-A Durham Friday, May 18, to start the game Saturday, May 19, against the Atlanta Braves in place of the injured SP Jeff Niemann (leg). The team optioned P Josh Lueke to Durham in the corresponding move.

The Tampa Bay Rays are calling up OF Rich C. Thompson after they traded for him Wednesday, May 16. RP Josh Lueke is the likely option to be sent down to the minors to make room on the roster. Thompson was hitting .307 for Triple-A Lehigh Valley for the Philadelphia Phillies this year.

The Tampa Bay Rays placed RP Kyle Farnsworth (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, April 5, with a right elbow strain. RP Josh Lueke was called up from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move. Manager Joe Maddon will use RPs Joel Peralta, Fernando Rodney and J.P. Howell in the ninth based on matchups.

Tampa Bay Rays RP Kyle Farnsworth (elbow) is expected to land on the disabled list to begin the season. RP Josh Lueke is the favorite to be recalled to join the bullpen.

Fantasy Tip: Farnsie owners should immediately look to add Joel Peralta in all formats, as he filled in as the closer when Farnsworth dealt with injury last season. Fernando Rodney and J.P. Howell are other candidates to garner saves, but they should be reserved for AL rosters at this time.
