The Tampa Bay Rays are looking for another reliever, ideally but not necessarily one with high-leverage experience. The team believes it could fill the remaining spot internally from a group that includes RP's Josh Lueke, Cesar Ramos, Dane De La Rosa, Jhonny Nunez and potentially a starter who doesn't make the rotation.

The Tampa Bay Rays acquired RP Josh Lueke from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for C John Jaso. The deal also includes cash and a player to be named later for Tampa Bay. "Josh has the stuff to get hitters out in the American League East and began to show that during the second half of last season," Rays executive vice president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said. "We believe he can be an important part of our success here for many years."

The Tampa Bay Rays traded C John Jaso to the Seattle Mariners for right-handed RP Josh Lueke, a player to be named later and cash. Lueke, who appeared in 25 games last season for the Mariners, has a chance to make the Rays bullpen this spring.
