The Cleveland Indians acquired 2B Matt Lawson from the Seattle Mariners Wednesday, March 2, for RP Aaron Laffey, reports Jordan Bastian, of MLB.com. Lawson will report to the team's minor league camp.

Updating a previous report, the Texas Rangers acquired SP Cliff Lee and RP Mark Lowe from the Seattle Mariners Friday, July 9, in exchange for 1B Justin Smoak, P Blake Beavan, P Josh Lueke and 2B Matt Lawson, according to MLB Network. The Rangers will also receive $2.25 million in cash considerations, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan.
