Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports free agent OG Adam Timmerman (Rams) plans to submit his retirement papers in the coming weeks. Timmerman participated in 12 NFL seasons, four Super Bowls and two Pro Bowls.

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reporting for the Sporting News, reports with the release of unrestricted free-agent OG Adam Timmerman, the starting right guard job belongs to St. Louis Rams C Richie Incognito. Incognito spent most of the 2006 season playing center, but right guard is Incognito's natural position, and is probably his best.

The Associated Press reports St. Louis Rams OG Adam Timmerman has been released from the team. Timmerman's agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Timmerman is not planning to retire.

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams OG Adam Timmerman could be released prior to the start of free agency March 2. "I think there's a pretty strong possibility that Adam could be on the market," Timmerman's agent Mark Bartelstein said. "There's nothing definitive; that's just kind of my sense." Timmerman is scheduled to make $2.2 million in base salary next season, including a $200,000 roster bonus due March 4.
