Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt went 3-for-4 with two home runs and two RBI against the Kansas City Royals Friday, April 17.
Fantasy Tip: Vogt ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) is off to a solid start at the plate with seven hits in his last five games. Vogt could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore to consider.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt (ankle) said he is fine after injuring his left ankle, and he'll use a protective guard on his right shoe to help his surgically repaired right foot.
Fantasy Tip: Vogt ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) is in the starting lineup for the A's and is a nice sleeper catching option at FantasyScore going against Houston Astros starter Brad Peacock Tuesday night.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt (ankle) turned his ankle in the game Monday, April 13, against the Houston Astros. He said he will be re-evaluated Tuesday, April 14.
Fantasy Tip: Josh Phegley ($1,800; 3.6% of cap) could draw a start or two if Vogt is forced to the shelf. FantasyScore owners looking to save a ton of salary might want to circle back around Tuesday to see if Phegley is indeed in the starting nine.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt (foot) has told media he feels 100 percent, but as a precaution he plans to wear a metal plate in his shoe until at least July.
Fantasy Tip: As a previous post suggests, Vogt will have some fantasy value if he is the starting catcher. If that changes, then the at-bats likely go down. Spend a late-round pick on Vogt if you need help.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt (foot) caught his first three innings of camp Monday, March 9, since undergoing right foot surgery. Vogt reported no discomfort.
Fantasy Tip: Vogt has unique eligibility at catcher, first base and outfield in most leagues. He's listed as the starting catcher on the A's official website, but that could change. If Vogt is relegated to backup catcher duties, then his at-bats will be in danger. As a result of the uncertainty, he's a late-round mixed league flier.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt will mostly serve as a second catcher this season, as manager Bob Melvin will only keep two catchers.
Fantasy Tip: Vogt can also play first base and the outfield, but keep an eye on how this affects his fantasy value. He has a little more because of his utility status, but if he's mostly a reserve then he should be kept on your bench if drafted.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt (foot) is expected to be ready for opening day without restrictions, according to manager Bob Melvin. However, Melvin noted Vogt is not currently 100% healthy, and the team plans to limit Vogt's activity during camp, including him avoiding playing the field during spring training games.
Fantasy Tip: Vogt is a late-round flier in AL-only and two-catcher formats, but he could be overvalued due to his monster first-half surge (.358/.388/.532 slash line with four home runs and 17 RBIs over 109 at-bats) last season. Don't forget about his August slide, though, where he slashed .212/.247/.376. Expect Vogt to settle somewhere in the middle this season.

Oakland Athletics C Stephen Vogt (foot) spent 9 1/2 weeks in a walking boot after having surgery on his right foot Oct. 14, and he has been cleared to start running. Vogt expects to be ready to go when spring training starts in a month. "There is soreness, but there is no pain, so that's a huge improvement for me," Vogt said. "I played in pain for the last three months of the year, and that's gone. So even with the soreness, I'm feeling good physically." He was unable to play the last 70 games of the season because of his foot problem.
