Phillies | Ben Revere the next to go?

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 10:37:17 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere could still be traded by the Phillies before the deadline Friday, July 31. An American League team is interested in him, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Revere ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has quietly had a really nice season on the worst team in baseball, hitting .298 (108-for-362) with a home run, 26 RBI and 24 stolen bases. He remains very relevant for his fantasy owners, but a trade to a contending club in the AL could boost his fantasy value even more.

Herrera ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has recorded at least one hit in 15 of his last 18 games and has seven RBI during that span. He could be a cheaper starting option for owners on FantasyScore.

Pirates | Pittsburgh interested in Ben Revere

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 05:01:27 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere is of trade interest to the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Pittsburgh has spoken to Philadelphia about acquiring the outfielder.

Fantasy Tip: Revere ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has a .294 batting average with 44 runs and 21 stolen bases this season. He is a valuable fantasy commodity in those three categories for seasonal players. At first glance, a move to the Pirates should increase his value, but Revere could enter an outfield shuffle with Andrew McCutchen ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) and Starling Marte ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) locked into everyday roles and Gregory Polanco ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) highly regarded within the organization.

Phillies | Ben Revere could return Monday

Sun, 05 Jul 2015 18:22:32 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere (hamstring) said his right hamstring injury is minor, and he could be back in the lineup Monday, July 6, against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Fantasy Tip: Revere ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) has been red hot the last month, but with speed being a big part of his game, it is wise to avoid him at FantasyScore until it is clear the hamstring injury isn't stopping him from stealing bases.
